Simón Bolivar (1824-1826 / 1826-1827)

He was born in Venezuela in 1773 and died in Colombia in 1830. He was general and liberator, hero of Independence wars in different countries of South America. In 1821, he was elected President of the Republic of Colombia, composed of Venezuela and New Grenade. After talking to San Martín, he decided to cooperate with him and helped in the independence of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

He united those countries and created the Great Colombia in order to form a Federation of the Republics of South America. His projects didn't work out and he resigned in 1830.
